For this week’s photo challenge, Patti at Pilot Fish asked us to break the rules and go beyond the traditional realistic image of an object, scene, or element. For Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #74, we are going “Abstract.”
At first I thought I had nothing to offer…then I perused my Facebook feed and found ALL kinds of groovy stuff. I haven’t used my DSLR in so long, I forgot how creative you can get. Looking forward to getting back to it!
It was fun digging all of this up. Check out Patti’s page for some other great inspiration!
Some stunning images there! You have a great eye. I am envious. Mel

Thanks Mel. I appreciate the comments! I wish I knew how much I loved photography when I was in high-school. I may have taken a different path in life!

Oh my gosh, you are echoing my current sentiments exactly, except with English. Why, oh why didn’t I major (or even minor) in English?!? How I would love to write (and/or edit) for a living. On another note, really cool pictures. Glad to have you in my reader again!

Thanks! Glad we are back on track! Yeah, I’d probably be living in a 3rd world country right now…photographing all the village people!

Thanks Glenys! I appreciate it. I have been using my phone for so long, I literally forgot how much fun it is to shoot with a DSLR 💕

Great collection, Pam. I had the same reaction–of being surprised at the shots I had! Your water droplets are great, as well as the lasers/light/fireworks shots and the reflections.

Thanks Tina! I actually had to narrow it down…I had so many! It was nice to walk down memory lane for a few of them 😊.

Thank you! I seriously had soooo many, I had to pare them down….I think some are a stretch for the theme, but I liked em anyway!

I liked them too – and I did not think a stretch …. guess it depends on how we define abstract eh?

Wow! These are some really amazing shots😍
It reminds me that even I haven’t touched my DSLR in a long time. Now even I feel like taking out my camera 😅
P.s window shot looks so beautiful. It’s my favourite❤

I miss using my DSLR too which is so easier to be a little creative. I need a new one badly!!
Funny how so many of us seem to miss old school cameras 🥴.

Thanks lady! I just bought a new one but need one more lens to complete the kit. I plan on using it WAY more in the coming months. I absolutely forgot how much fun you can have with it. You my friend take some AMAZING photos, you should think about getting a new one 🙂

Wow thank you for that!
I was actually sorting out older photos yesterday and wondered why I find my recent photos so boring and classic… The fact I’m using my mobile phone might be one reason why. And also watching photos on a full computer screen Vs a small mobile phone screen changes the perspective completely… And maybe I’ve just lost my mojo!!!
Cheers to brilliant photos!

Love the bridge shot and the one taken through the fence. Gives me more ideas of what I could take if I would just think of more angles, etc.
